Our Mission

The pursuit of world class excellence in academic, moral and physical education (thuto go aga botho) “The Academy is commended for offering a highly diversified curriculum, which recognises the wide ability range of students and provides equitable education for all.”- MOE inspection report. At Legae it is recognised that all students are blessed with a unique mixture of scholastic and other abilities that can be best maximised through educational approaches that promote self-learning, complemented by co-curricular and sporting activities. In partnership with parents and the community the Academy strives to foster in each of its students the ability to live up to his or her full potential generation. The Academy is governed by a Board of Governors consisting of its Managing Director, the Principal (ex-officio), a representative of the Ministry of Education, and Gaborone City Council, Parents’ representatives, directors and additional members as provided for under appropriate Education (Private Secondary Schools) Regulations and the guidelines set out in the Education Act.

About Legae Academy Botswana

Legae’s tradition of success in external examinations has  been further recognised by the MOE, which commended the  school “for its high performance in both IGCSE and HIGCSE  examinations”. The ministry of Education further noted that:  “This good performance is attributed to a number of factors  such as highly qualified staff, small class size, reasonable  teaching loads, good and adequate physical facilities  and resources, and a conducive teaching and learning  environment. The highly qualified teachers of the school are  optimally utilised.” (1998 Inspection Report)  “Legae Academy is focused on students achieving academic  excellence and has a good organisation structure in place to  enable the school to deliver its objective. Inspection findings  revealed that the school has many strengths, particularly in  producing good grades at final exams.”
